Do's & Don'ts

Photo and video rules for presenting Felyfit products — lighting, framing, styling, model and final checklist. Apply these principles when you shoot with your pieces.

Section 1

Technical photography

Lighting, ISO, aperture and backdrops for product

✓ Do's

  • • Use three-point lighting (key, fill and back light)
  • • Constant diffused light — avoid hard shadows
  • • Low ISO (100-400) for maximum quality
  • • Aperture f/8 – f/11 for full sharpness
  • • Use a tripod for shot consistency
  • • Clean white or neutral gray backdrop
  • • Consistent color temperature 5500K – 6500K

✗ Don'ts

  • • DO NOT use direct flash without a diffuser
  • • DO NOT shoot in inconsistent natural light
  • • DO NOT use textured or colored backdrops
  • • DO NOT change settings between similar products
  • • DO NOT use high ISO that creates noise
  • • DO NOT shoot without a light meter

Required shots

What to shoot per product and the specs

Per product

  • • 1 main front photo
  • • 1 back photo (technical detail)
  • • 1 side photo / 3-4
  • • 2-3 lifestyle / action photos
  • • 1 close-up of details (seams, fit)

Specs

  • • Minimum resolution: 300 DPI
  • • Format: RAW + JPEG
  • • Framing: vertical for e-commerce
  • • Leave room for cropping in post-production

Section 3

Styling — before the shoot

✓ Do's

  • • Review all garments at least 30 min before
  • • Verify NO visible tags
  • • Check for loose threads or lint
  • • Remove ALL stickers and brand labels
  • • Have needle and thread for minor adjustments
  • • Bring clips for a perfect rear fit
  • • Prepare different sizes for the model

✗ Don'ts

  • • DO NOT leave size or composition tags visible
  • • DO NOT use wrinkled or poorly cared-for clothing
  • • DO NOT forget to check seams and finishings
  • • DO NOT use products with other brand logos
  • • DO NOT let the clothing look too big or small

Styling — during the shoot

✓ Do's

  • • Constantly adjust the fit with clips
  • • Verify no underwear lines show through
  • • Keep garments stretched and wrinkle-free
  • • Swap the garment if it deforms during the shoot
  • • Check symmetry of straps and seams

✗ Don'ts

  • • DO NOT let the clothing look disproportionate
  • • DO NOT ignore wrinkles that appear with movement
  • • DO NOT let inappropriate underwear show through

  • • Even skin, no prominent marks
  • • Hair that doesn't interfere with back designs

Attitude and expression

  • • Natural, confident expression
  • • Subtle smile or neutral expression
  • • Sporty but elegant posture
  • • Comfort wearing fitted clothing
  • • Ability to hold static poses

Makeup and hair

✓ Do's

  • • Natural «no-makeup makeup» look
  • • Foundation that doesn't transfer to clothing
  • • Defined but natural brows
  • • Hair tied up or half-up
  • • Loose hair with no frizz or mess
  • • Fresh, sporty look

✗ Don'ts

  • • NO dramatic or very colorful makeup
  • • NO elaborate hairstyles that compete with the clothing
  • • NO bold accessories · NO accessories
  • • NO very long nails or loud colors
